Independent and supported-living homes for people with developmental disabilities
What is a “supported-living” home? Simply stated, it is an independent living home where individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live and daily-living support services are provided by a third-party (i.e. natural supports by families, or Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver etc.).
Daily-living support services are defined as “an array of services, from which eligible recipients can choose, allows them to live as independently as possible in their own home or in the community and achieve productive lives” (per the Developmental Disabilities Individual Budgeting Waiver Services Coverage and Limitations Handbook, Page 1-2).
Noah’s Ark of Central Florida currently offers two low-cost residential rental communities that promote independence and quality of life for residents with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
Noah’s Ark of Central Florida does not offer or provide daily-living support services at any of their residential rental communities.
